§ 86-1. General location restriction.

  • It shall be illegal for any person to operate any carnival, side show, amusement ride, or public games of skill usually operated in connection with carnivals at any place in the city within 1,000 yards of any residence, or within 500 yards of any public road; provided, however, that this section shall not be applicable to public educational, nonprofit educational or religious organizations conducting such activities on their own properties, not more often than once in any one calendar year. Except that such educational or religious organizations shall first make written application to the city clerk for a special permit to conduct such activities. Such application shall give full details as to the activities to be conducted.
