§ 2-159. Appointment and term.

The collector shall be appointed to his position by the mayor with the consent and approval of the majority of the members of the city council and shall hold office for a term of two years and until his successor is appointed and qualified, unless sooner removed. The collector shall be a resident of the city and shall receive no compensation for performance of the duties of the office.
