§ 2-68. Payment of warrants.

Latest version.

The city clerk shall draw and countersign warrants on the city treasurer for any money found to be due and owing by the city, and for which there is an appropriation specifying therein the fund or appropriation out of which such warrants shall be paid, but no such warrant shall be issued unless there is actually in the treasury money sufficient to pay the same.
